I feel a cable network should do each novel as a series. Covering the books as is. Movies are way too short, they need short cuts and much of the details are lost that the books unfold wondrously. A faceless entity manifesting itself in Jack Torrence. The hotel is trying to take Dannys soul right here. By tainting his soul it could fulfill a plan where it could possibly take Abra and Roses soul too. The whole “put upon” speech is the hotel trying to convince Danny to let go. Even now the hotel is trying to hatch its own plans on Danny. I find it interesting that Jack might be somewhere in Lloyd.
